One month down…. 12 pounds lost!

Posted on

Ok guys – diet update. It’s been one month since I started this fucking miserable fulfilling, cathartic journey towards my goal of becoming a beautiful adonis… and I’ve lost 12 pounds! I can’t believe how much I’ve learnt on this life-changing journey so far…

1) Skimmed milk (or 1% for my US readers) is actually just cloudy water. I don’t know whether it’s just because my fat body is used to having clotted cream poured over my breakfast cereal, but skimmed milk was literally a murky version of Evian for me

2) Turns out there is such a thing as too many cherries. Not because of the sugar content.. but because of the roughage content… I almost collapsed on the tube into work due to stomach cramps

3) Egg white omelettes are a JOKE. I ended up eating 12 egg whites to make up for the one egg… which actually turned out to be more calories 😦

4) Coconut milk… more like man-milk. I won’t go into too much detail over this one.. but for all the girls/gays I see drinking coconut juice.. you all know what I’m thinking

5) I have the best followers 🙂 Thank you guys for all your comments and follows. The comments keep my busy on my train journeys home and I’m going to address them in future posts. I hope you’re having fun reading the blog 🙂

xx

Instead of the super-skim or coconut milk, why not try soya milk? I switched to it a few years back, and once I got over the change in texture I found I couldn’t go back to regular milk afterwards (of course, that could be because I’m a bit lactose intolerant lol).

When you compare the fat contents of non-fat milk, low fat (slim milk), and whole milk, you will see that it is not a huge differences. I would rather have like 30 more calories and my tummy feel satisfy than drinking milky water. 😛

I had an egg white omelette for the first time today and would agree with you. A complete waste of the chicken’s time and effort!

I feel you – skim milk doesn’t even look like real milk but 1% seems to be tolerable if not totally enjoyable!

Man milk! Grooosssssss. I’ve been thinking of trying it too but I think you’ve put me off now. Hey I’ve worked out the egg white omelete thing – you add one whole egg. It puts in a bit more bulk and flavour and really works. I used to have these for weight loss all the time. 4 egg whites + 1 whole egg + ham and tomato. I was anal and even WEIGHED THE HAM so I wouldn’t go too crazy with calories. Oh maybe you don’t eat ham. Use chicken 🙂

Haha I sometimes eat ham… but don’t tell the rabbi! haha

Congratulations! I’m inspired. I made it onto the treadmill twice last week and second time literally nearly killed me (okay, not literally). Only good thing about egg white omelettes is that they make you feel less guilty than throwing away the whites when you’ve just used the yolks for some kind of lovely chocolate cake/sauce recipe. Naturally, I make my husband eat them.

I noticed you had liked my post about my dieting regime, and then I noticed you mentioned your cherry troubles! Educated opinion : It’s not the roughage/fiber that gave you issues, it’s the acidity and tannin content. The shits are a pretty common response to excessive cherry consumption, especially among endomorphic types. If you’re going to eat a fruit meal, stick to sweet, light, and crisp fruits for your constitution, and minimize sour or heavy fruits. Apples, pears, pomegranates, apricots and the like will be the easiest for your system to work with. Pineapple (fully ripe), mangoes, and grapes shouldn’t give you any issues.

Ginger is also great to fire up your digestive system. Most ballsy spices are very beneficial for endomorphs.

    Thanks for the like!

Man milk! Made me cry I was laughing so hard! Totally NOT trying it now. About the skim/1% milk, have you tried almond milk? I was raised on soy mlik-which is like colored water, but several years ago switched to almond because it’s healthier.
